Smoke rising from a barbecue smoker

Colorado Springs ยท Est. 2018

We smoke it low.
You eat it slow.

Real wood fire. Real patience. Real barbecue โ€” the way it should be.

Not fast food.
Not fast anything.

At Annie Mae's BBQ, we don't rush the smoke. Every rack, every brisket, every pound of pulled pork goes into the pit for hours โ€” sometimes all day โ€” over real hardwood. That's the only shortcut we know.

Located on South Chelton Road in Colorado Springs, we've built a following among folks who know the difference between a pressure cooker and a smoker. Our ribs fall off the bone. Our brisket has a bark that cracks like it should. And our sauce? We make it here, in small batches, and we only use it where it earns its place.

12+ Hours per batch
3 Wood varieties
100% Real fire

Started with a smoker
and a stubborn idea.

Annie Mae's didn't begin as a restaurant. It began as a backyard thing โ€” a pit in the back, a Friday night tradition, neighbors showing up without an invitation because the smell carried.

Years later, we moved that same pit onto South Chelton Road. The recipes are the same. The patience is the same. The only thing that changed is the address โ€” and the fact that now you can find us.

We're not chasing trends. We're not doing fusion. We're doing what works: good meat, real wood, time you can't shortcut. If that sounds old-fashioned, good. That's the point.
